ESPN/WORLD CUP
The Assignment: With the 2018 WORLD CUP on the horizon, ESPN approached Marvel about creating a marketing campaign in a comic book style, telling the story of a handful of the teams and the winding paths that they each endured to make it to the Cup. 
The Solution: We were given eight teams to focus on, so we decided to create comic stories that would be animated into motion comics to create digital promotional assets for the ESPN FC and Marvel websites and for use in social media (FB, IG, and Twitter). The stories were written by Fabian Nicieza.
The Result: The campaign was very well received by ESPN and soccer fans. Specific numbers are proprietary and could not be provided as this campaign was done by Marvel for ESPN. But as the campaign was spearheaded by Darren Sanchez, it is included in this After Hours Promotions, case study.
